The language and cultural diversity of our choir members reflect, just like our singing, the kaleidoscope of the South African society. Most of our members are from Stellenbosch and environment and travel an average of 25 kilometres by car, taxi or on foot to choir practices. The home languages of the approximately 90 members are Afrikaans, English, Xhosa and Sotho with most choir members speaking Afrikaans at home. Our choir members’ occupations vary from actuarial science, occupational therapy, journalism, teaching, motor mechanics, child minding to theology! Many choir members lead or conduct other choirs such as church, school and community choirs. The experience they are gaining with us is used to the advantage of these choirs.

New members are invited to auditions in January. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a member.
